Who we are
VP14 Communications is a communications and marketing agency owned and run by Peter Parsons and based in Worthing, Sussex.
Peter is a marketing communications specialist, skilled in a range of digital marketing services from copy & image creation to website creation & maintenance. Peter can also boast over 25-years’ experience in the defence and aerospace industry.
“Throughout a large part of my 25 year corporate career in the defence and aerospace industry, I was at the forefront of turning the web from a “why would we want that?” curio to a vital part of day-to-day business, leading the team that set up the first Racal website and part of the international team that created the first Thales website.
As Marketing Communications Manager at Thales, I created a wide range of print and multi-media tools both on and offline, including brochures, videos, presentations and both internet and intranet sites taking particular interest in website governance – management and publishing policy, agency selection and contracting.
I played a significant part in Thales’ selection for the Watchkeeper (UAV) programme, producing the successful video which was widely shown on TV news as well as media, lobbying and event planning, and events such as the Farnborough and Paris air shows.
As Product and Marketing Manager for Thales’ UAV capability, I developed in-depth knowledge and models of the global UAV market up to 2030; researching, comparing and analysing the capabilities and actions of the competitor systems, assessing trends in the global market and predicting the impact of global events.
After leaving Thales in 2010, I set up VP14 Communications and started supporting companies and organisations such as the ACCA and Pebblebeach Fundraising before joining LWS Creative as a freelance copywriter and account manager, working with a wide range of clients from funeral directors to aerospace companies to develop, populate and maintain their websites. This has given me considerable experience in search engine optimization, content management systems, analytics and email marketing.
